A glossary of terms used in this documentation
| Term | Definition |

| Dimensioner | A physical device capable of determining the length, width and height of objects |
| Host System | A software application wishing to programmatically consume measurement data produced by enVision Dimensioners. The application communicates with the dimensioner via enVision APIs |
| Trigger | Refers to the action performed to cause the dimensioner to execute a single measure operation. The result of a measure operation is either a record of the measurements and weight captured or an error code if measurements could not be captured |
| Trigger Binding | (enVision Flow) Refers to the programmed keyboard sequence that will initiate (or Trigger) a measurement operation against the selected device |
| Trigger Source | represents the source of a trigger. enVision supports two categories of Trigger Source: Host Initiated and Internal. |
